Gina McVey helps her family to prepare the birthday dinner for her father when a mirror falls from the wall and smashes into pieces on the floor. When Gina evokes the seven years of bad luck promised by superstition, no one laughs. The following day, in a London street, Gina catches sight of herself sitting behind the wheel of her own car. Stunned, she follows this strange apparition to her apartment. The same day, Gina is involved in a violent traffic accident that prevents her from remembering with certainty what happened earlier in the day. Little by little, she puts the pieces of the puzzle together and discovers what she would never have been able to imagine.
