Babel

A Feature film by Alejandro González Iñárritu

Release in France : 15/11/2006

    Synopsis

In the middle of the Moroccan desert, a shot suddenly rings out. It will set off a whole series of events that will involve two American tourists on the brink of splitting up, two young Moroccans who commit an accidental crime, a nanny who takes a journey with two American children, and a rebellious Japanese student whose father the Tokyo police want to interview. Separated by their cultures and lifestyles, each of these four groups of people will nevertheless meet a similar fate of isolation and pain… Over a few days, they will all experience a deep feeling of solitude – lost in the desert, in the world, and strangers to themselves. While they experience the worst moments of fear and confusion, they also discover the value of love and the bond that unites people everywhere.
