On the eve of World War One, Tamino sets out on a dangerous adventure: while the world plunges into darkness and mad destruction, he searches for love, peace, and light. A perturbing calm hovers over the region, as yet untouched by war, while Tamino, accompanied by his men paralyzed with anxiety, wait for the order to leave for combat. During the ensuing chaos, Tamino finds himself caught up in twilight world, between dream and nightmare, where three military nurses save his life… When Papageno, who looks after the canaries used to detect the presence of gas in the trenches, appears, claiming to have saved Tamino, the sisters decide to send them on a dangerous mission.
They must find Pamina, the ravishing daughter of the Queen of the Night, kidnapped by the formidable Signor Sarastro.
