Synopsis One day, a stranger called Boris appears from nowhere. He’s come to visit Philip, an old school friend. Except that Philip isn’t there, he’ll be there tomorrow, or the day after at the latest, no-one’s sure. Courteous, sensitive and sure of himself, Boris settles in – rapidly. So rapidly, in fact, that he seems like part of the furniture and proves to be the perfect guest, providing entertaining distraction. Delighted, charmed, and manipulated without knowing it, everyone lets themselves be caught by his incredible powers of seduction. Only André-Pierre is determined not to trust him. He doesn’t like tanned, playboy kind of guys. Added to which, why hasn’t Philip turned up yet? Everything feeds André-Pierre’s worry, which certainly isn’t helped by the heatwave that persists, burning bodies before melting minds. It’s never been so hot before, the sea has never seemed so appealing and high, right there, lapping at the bottom of the steps where Philip will arrive. Festival selections |
