Synopsis
When he comes to in hospital, after suffering a skull injury, Julien Rossi, investigative journalist, no longer recalls how he came to be there and doesn’t recognize the woman who claims to be his girlfriend. He doesn’t remember this Marlène at all. The woman Julien remembers, the one that he loves, is called Anna.
In fact, Julien is suffering from partial amnesia that has erased the sixty days leading up to the accident from his memory. When the police start asking questions, he quickly starts wondering whether what he suffered was an accident or something entirely different.
Retrieving his personality comes with its share of dead ends, doubts, and obstacles. Julien’s memory comes back to him in fits and starts: visual impressions, recurring sounds and noises, echoes of voices that float to the surface. Inexorably, Julien retraces his steps, determined to bring the absent past to light, despite the equal determination of Lucas Jäger, his best friend, also a journalist, to do everything he can to dissuade him. Is it to protect him, or to replace him? For, Lucas is now going out with Anna, Julien’s sweetheart.
