Francesca and Martin, caught between reality and fiction, lead a joyful bohemian lifestyle – that is way beyond their means. They live in a huge, rent-controlled apartment that costs them next to nothing. This grand apartment is the cornerstone of friendships.
Their friend, a film director, turns it into a film studio. All their eccentric or misfortunate relatives find refuge there. Life is a farce and constant party, spiced up by Martin’s erotic misadventures (he’s a seducer despite himself) and Adrien’s liaisons (he’s fascinated by women who sell cheese and vegetables). This grand apartment is the last paradise on earth, full of music, dance, and laughter.
Francesca must defend it against the greedy owner, who wants to reclaim the apartment to sell it. Will her legal knowledge, fantasy, and charm suffice to save this little world from danger?
