Synopsis

It’s 1926 and Rudolph Valentino has just died… Albert, a young Canadian trainee actor, armed with a letter of recommendation, decides to leave his country and set out to conquer Hollywood. This passport to celebrity was given to him by Jane Pickford, his drama teacher, and is addressed to Mary Pickford, her niece. In the Silver Bullet train that takes him from Quebec to Los Angeles, Albert encounters Grace, a Mormon fundamentalist (she has 75 sisters!). Rebelling against the iron grip of her religion, in the name of the Garter League, she campaigns for polyandry (a woman’s right to have several husbands!). And so begins Albert’s voyage of initiation, heading for glory…
