Louise and her mother, Blanche, run L'étape, a café-restaurant in a small village in Savoy. L'étape isn’t just a bistro, it’s also a new home for a whole flock of troubled children who can always find refuge there. Louise, with her unsettling sense of humor, believes that words have the power to heal emotional wounds.
On the opposite side of the national highway Le Virage stands, managed by Lucie Chevrier and her daughters.
