Le 7e Jour

Le 7e Jour

A Feature film by Carlos Saura

Release in France : 25/05/2005

    Synopsis

In the arid heat of rural Spain, two families in a tiny village have been arguing for years about the borders of their respective property. These quarrels have already caused many bloody fights. Isabel, the teenage daughter of one of the families, tries to get to the bottom of this horrible conflict. With her boyfriend, Chino, she discovers that the ongoing fight originated in a story of thwarted love. This experience of long ago has left Luciana an embittered woman, with a permanently poisoned heart. Not only can she never forget, she also demands that her brothers take vengeance, for a woman doesn’t have the right to do so. The village inhabitants will pay the price of this vengeance with their own blood.
