Pauline is fourteen, almost fifteen years old. She lives in Paris, dividing her time between her father's apartment in the 6th arrondissement, and her mother's place in the 13th. One day, she comes face to face with Johnny Depp in the bus that she takes each week between her parents' two homes.
When she tells her two friends, Lucie and Lilia, of her adventure, they don't believe her. Lucie, the "psychopath," tries out suicide methods on cats, while Lilia is sucidal because her family wants to return to live in Algeria where she'll be married to her cousin.
Ready to do anything to save their friend from her arranged marriage, the girls decide to run away to find Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, who, according to the gossip magazines, are on vacation somewhere in Corsica.
They want to persuade the couple to make a statement to the press that will prevent Lilia from having to adhere to traditional ways. To carry out their plan, they need money. They attempt to steal the credit card of an elderly lady for whom Lilia's mother has been a housekeeper for ten years. But things go awry when they're caught in the act in the middle of the night and one of the girls knocks the old lady out.
