Synopsis Presented as the cradle of Islam, Iran intrigues the West on more than one account. Thierry Michel encountered Iranians from all walks of life going about their daily activities: soldiers, religious leaders, young people, former fighters along with reformers, students, artists, intellectuals who have paid dearly in their struggle for freedom. This film paints a portrait of a culturally and socially fractured society, a country where the religious fervor of some contrasts with the desire for freedom of others. Festival selections |
