Sergio, an architect, reaches a moment when he needs to take stock of his life and what he’s doing with his partner, his son and his career. He’s through with lying to himself. He must act now before it’s too late. He’s suffocating and can no longer stand his hypocritical behavior – or that of the world around him. He feels crushed by materialism, money and his career.
A car accident obliges him to really consider what he’s doing. He realizes that he no longer loves his wife and that she accepts his extra-marital escapades purely in order to keep the peace.
Withdrawn and cut off from everyone, Sergio communicates with only one friend. But then he meets the love of his life. However this mysterious, sensual woman eventually leaves him. Sergio is devastated, believing that all is finished when in fact it’s just the beginning of his renaissance.
