Synopsis

Claire and Alex, fortyish, form a reasonably pleasant and happy couple, with a reasonably likeable son and have both been reasonably successful in their respective careers… In other words, they’re heading for a break up! Then Monique turns up… She’s the perfect macho fantasy, her measurements all there in the right places, a silent and unassailable rival and also the nightmare of any normal woman… Gorgeous, young, quiet, she never says no, never demands, never complains, watches football and doesn’t fuss around the house: the dream of any normal man… Sexy, naïve, fresh, Monique is a fuchsia pink explosion among life’s grayness… Object of all Alex’s desires, she makes his depressive tendencies, the conventional prohibitions of friends and family crumble. She reveals people’s true selves, sunders routines, makes couples very, very nervous… But, ultimately, she nurses them.
