Synopsis
From 1983 to 1987, former Upper Volta, an ex French colony and an independent republic since 1960, was known as Burkina Faso (tle land of free and worthy men). In 1984, the country underwent political, social and economic upheaval on a scale never seen before in black Africa : this was the Burkinabé Revolution led by Captain Thomas Sankara.
