Synopsis

For fear of a hostile world, a woman barricades herself and her daughter in her home. By wanting to protect the girl and to keep her near her, she confines her to her bed by persuading her that she is sick. The girl grows under the electric light, confined to bed and totally dependent on her mother. Their only contact with the outside world is a young boy who passes regularly to bring reserves. Over the years, in spite of the ban of going near the patient's bed, a strange and silent relation develops between the girl and the boy.
