Synopsis

A new-born boy, kidnapped from an Eskimo couple by a bear whose partner is inconsolable after the death of her offspring, is raised like a cub by his new "parents". The film tells the story of this child who becomes a bear, only to become human again after a journey of discovery across the Great North. L'enfant qui voulait être un ours is a simple, poetic story that awakens in all of us both the longing for distant adventure and forgotten childhood fears.
