Synopsis
In Tangiers, Driss makes a hand-to-mouth living as a cab driver in his dented wreck of a car that serves as both taxi and home. He comes across Fouad, a nasty, self-seeking old man who owns a beach café. Driss strikes up a friendship with this cantankerous misanthrope who could be his father. Despite his friends’ warnings, Driss tries to win the old man’s affections, offering him gifts and helping him out. One day Driss brings his girlfriend, Betsoul, to the café and Fouad immediately hits on her…
