Synopsis
There are 7 of them. They’re the Yamakasi. They’ve created a new street sport and try to overtake their high-rise suburb, or to be more precise, its walls, roofs, bridges. Light, agile, fast, they leap from one building to the next, sliding down the walls and braving every danger. Each has their own specialty: Baseball is a top pitcher, Araignée, with his ropes and hooks, gets around like a comic book hero, Belette is sure some eel, Zicmu draws his energy from music, Rocket is a fast as a missile... They train early every morning so as not to disturb the neighbors. But some people panic, mistake them for thieves. Cops then become involved, without ever managing to catch the Yamakasi. And all the young kids admire and want to imitate them. One day there’s an accident. Little Djamel takes a fall. It’s urgent, they need money for an operation now! Feeling responsible, the Yamakasi decide to come to his rescue and, for the first time, break the law and put their lives at risk. Vincent, their friend, a police inspector, tries to warn them to take care…
