Deuxième quinzaine de juillet

A Feature film by Christophe Reichert

Produced by Ouf'ti

Release in France : 19/07/2000

    Synopsis

Felix is nice, awkward, weak! So weak that he accepts to look after his boss' dog for the holidays. Monique is round, neurotic, sweet, bossy. So bossy that she demands that her nephew spend every holiday with them both. Felix and Monique would like to have a child. Particularly Monique. For the first time in ages, Felix takes the initiative. He convinces his wife to swap their suburban home in Blois for what seems like paradise: a villa surrounded by pines and olive trees, nestled beside a small river south of the Drôme. Soon, trailing nephew and dog, the couple are at last ready to spend an excellent summer vacation. Unfortunately, optimism quickly transforms into bitter disappointment: the house is well-situated, it's true, smack dab in the middle of a camping ground overrun with Belgians, Dutch, Danish and other holidaymakers…
