DirectorActorsSynopsisOctober 6, 1973 is a day like no other: all is calm in the land, it’s the holy day of Yom Kippur. When war breaks out suddenly, Weinraub and his friend Russo make a rush for Golan Heights in search of Egoz, the special unit in which they had done their military service. Chaos prevails, as much among civilians as the military. They do not manage to find Egoz, but the next morning they come across Klauzner, a doctor trying to return to the Ramat David air base. Of their own free will, they decide to join an air force relief unit. Russo, their captain, is immediately placed in charge of combat teams accompanying rescue missions by helicopter. Time is short: fighting is intense, losses severe, and until this time the rescue of the injured and pilots shot down had been impossible to organize. From their very first mission, the team takes shape: Russo takes Weinraub and Gadassi in the combat team on board the Bell 205 piloted by Yoram, his co-pilot Kobi and the flight engineer Kauchinski. Doctor Klauzner joins them… Production photos (2)
