Synopsis Michèle is celebrating her 20th birthday. She's a model who shares a house in Paris with friends. Everything should be rosy, but the fun seems to be going out of her life: she's losing her faith in God, she's just dumped her boyfriend, and she's having a hard time with her friends. Just then she meets François, a non-believing Jew. After flirting with Buddhism, Michèle immerses herself in Judaism, hoping to find new confidence in herself, and thinking it will bring her closer to François.
