Camille, 30, il happily single and determined to remain that way. But when by chance she meets a socialist party activist named Alexis - married with two kids - Camille the nonconformist fails madly in love. She becomes obsessed with the idea of seeing Alexis again and again, contriving repeated encounters, hoping he'll finally tumble into her arms. She even joins the local branch of the socialist party. For Alexis, the trouble is just beginning - how can he possibly hold out against this whirlwind when he's far from indifferent in the first place?
