Synopsis
This is the tale of a handful of survivors, a few Czechs in Paris who continue to see one another simply because they're Czech. Yet there are several ways of being Czech in Paris. For Magda, the city represents a world of possibility. For Mirek, it means failure despite his carefree and naive outlook. The film deals with the confusion felt by these unexiled exiles. Mirek hasn't left yet, but it's only a matter of days...

About
"The actors in this film are all genuine Czech performers from Prague and their brutal transplantation to the heart of Paris, a mythological city in their minds, has delightful results. As an additional surprise, the director plays with the City of Light as if it were her childhood dream and films her excellent Bohemian actors in a totally orthodox Paris, with Père-Lachaise, pigeons and endless panning shots over the grey rooftops... yet without ever resorting to a single cliché."
(Olivier Séguret - Libération)
