For the last 14 years, Rosine and her mother have been living together like close friends. Marie was 14 when Rosine was born. Rosine was 14 when Pierre, her father returned. Upon his return, he wants to make up for lost time, get a hold of Marie and get a hold on Rosine. However, Rosine and Marie are inseparable, they stick to each other, no matter what Pierre does.

""Rosine" was born during my first year at the Femis. First project, first fiction, first set theme hurled at us in two words : "Violence and Passion". As soon as those words settled in my mind, I imagined a mother and daughter in bitter conflict with each other. A mother jealous of her daughter becoming a woman. I felt the need to film two women, each caught between two ages. This relationship has fascinated me since the day these images appeared before my eyes and I haven't been able to turn away from the subject until completing "Rosine". I shall probably return to this mother-daughter relationship... later. I still have images, words and I hope, emotions to share."
