Little adults who go to seed too quickly sometimes turn into big kids. Take the venerable professor Gaudéamus. With a good seventy years under his belt and countless scientific awards including a Nobel Prize to his name, he continues to scramble after the secret of eternal youth. One day, following an experimental mishap in the lab, the scientist suddenly finds himself an infant again. At which point everyhing begins to go wrong for this insolent runt, who renders some people furious and makes others jealous with fascination.
A baby who smokes cigars and speaks with seventy years of experience has to figure out how to foil the plans of curious intelligence agents ; a man enamored of a woman lets her change his diapers and then asks her to dance ; a father struggles to assert his authority over a long-neglected son now older than he is. It's an infant who appears... bu a scholarly pip-squeak who has to come up with the answers. Prior to the discovery of selenium's special properties, eternal youth was merely a myth. Now it's a modern fable.
