Mado has died and gone to heaven. Her widower, Monsieur Charme, is just waiting to end his days so that he can join Mado and enjoys his share of paradise.
He finds Reine to be a perfect nurse for senior citizens, thanks to firm determination. The young woman takes Charme's crazy idea to heart. She teams up with Joyeux, a distant relative of the old man, to study every possibility, from the most scientific to the most irrational, of fulfilling his wish. Death, alas, eludes Charme, and unexpectedly hounds Reine herself. Shaken, Charme decides to postpone his investigation of the beyond. For the moment, he'll content himself with learning to enjoy life again...
