Entry fees for films registered through Unifrance are a flat fee of $35 for films under 30 minutes and $45 for films up to 59 minutes. The festival does not return cassettes and DVDs sent for preselection.

The Cleveland International Film Festival is proud to announce that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences® has named the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) as a qualifying festival in the category of Short Films. Winners of the CIFF Best Live Action Short Film and Best Animated Short Film awards may qualify to enter the Short Films category of the Academy Awards® for the concurrent season, provided the films otherwise comply with the Academy rules.
