Biography

Axelle Ropert begins her career as a film critic and co-editor of the magazine La Lettre du cinéma, equally writing for the magazine "Les Inrockuptibles". She pens the screenplays for three films directed by Serge Bozon: Friendship (1998), Mods (2003) in which she plays, as well as France (2007). She also makes screen appearances in films by Pierre Léon (Le dieu Mozart), Judith Cahen (The Sexual Revolution Never Happened) and Benjamin Esdraffo (Clarisse's Neck). In 2005, Axelle Ropert presents her medium-length film Violet Star at the Directors' Fortnight. In 2009, she returns to Cannes with The Wolberg Family.
