Born in Cannes on February 10, 1975, Frédéric Cerulli is a former student of the Carnot et Bristol school. He started out working as a journalist and a photographic reporter for Cannes TV, before joining the editorial staff of the television channels France 2 and France 3. Cerulli has made several short films that have won awards in various film festivals, including the "Clap d'Or" for "Henri." A self-taught man, he claims to have learned, and continues to learn, his craft through accepting criticism and observing the work of others. He describes himself as an instinctive director who likes to take risks and expose himself to danger in order to make a film. He defends filmmaking without effects, which is enhanced and embellished thanks to the input of actors.
