Kader Ayd began his movie career in 1995 as an actor in the short film "Au bout de la nuit, la liberté." In 1997, he co-wrote (along with Samy Naceri) and directed the short film "Qui paiera les dégâts?" In 1997, he met Karim Abbou, who had worked as a writer for comedians such as Elie Semoun and Smaïn. They decided to join forces and direct films as a team. Their first feature film, "Old School," was released in France July 5, 2000. The duo is currently working on the screenplay for "Prime Time," a film about the media.
