Biography

The young Isild Le Besco starts her career in Lacenaire (1990) by Francis Girod.
In 1997, she meets Emanuelle Bercot who offers her the main part in her two short films Les Vacances then La Puce (1999).
Benoît Jacquot’s fetich actress, Isild Le Besco works with him on Sade (nomination for Best Promising Actress César Award), Adolphe or Right Now, alongside with Daniel Auteuil or Isabelle Adjani. Her performance in Roberto Succo by Cédric Kahn wins her another nomination for Best Actress César Award this time.
In 2003, Isild Le Besco directs her first film Demi-Tarif acclaimed by the critic and appears for the first time in a comedy Le Coût de la vie by Philippe Le Guay.
Isild Le Besco meets Emmanuelle Berco again for the director second feature Backstage in 2003.
