Biography

Claude Nuridsany and Marie Perennou are both Masters of Science (biology) and studied at the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris. In 1969, they left the academic world to study living phenomena. From then on, they worked as a team on the development of special scientific photography techniques in order to reveal the whims and forms of nature, aiming to reconcile aesthetic research and scientific information. In 1976, they won the Niepce Prize for their photographic work that has figured in a number of exhibitions. They have made a number of documentaries for television, including "les Mystères du monde végétal" (1980), "Voyage au pays de l'invisible" (1987) and published several books, including "Insecte" (Editions La Noria, 1980), "La Planète des insectes" (Arthaud, 1983) and "Mi-crocosmos, le peuple de l'herbe" (Editions de la Martinière, 1996).
