Complete filmography

Biography

"Beware of My Love" was Jeanne Labrune's fourth film, and an audacious one at that. "A love story with a particularly fresh vision and style," said Nathalie Baye, the film's lead actress. The film's subject is an obsessive love affair between and a man and woman where female sexuality is brazenly out in the open. Previously, in 1985, Labrune wrote and directed "La Part de l'autre" (a film about twins) which won the Jury's Special Prize at the French Film Festival in Florence and the Society of Screen Writers and Composer's (SACD) Special Prize. "Sand and Blood," made two years later, was selected for the "Un certain regard" section at the Cannes International Film Festival. Her third feature, "Sans un cri," won the 1992 Cannes Youth Jury Prize. Jeanne Labrune has also made fiction and documentary films for television and directed the stage show "Feria" for the Avignon Theater Festival. Notable among her recent work is the original screenplay for "Vatel" directed by Roland Joffé. It was the opening night film for the 2000 Cannes International Film Festival. "Ca ira mieux demain", with an impressive cast, Nathalie Baye, Jeanne Balibar, Isabelle Carré, jean-Pierre Darroussin, Danièle Darrieux and Sophie Guillemin, presented at 2000 Locarno international film festival and was released on the 15 of november 2000.
