Anne-Marie Miéville's name is linked to that of Jean-Luc Godard by what she calls "a thirty-year association". She adds that they weren't originally brought together by the cinema but by political commitment. Even so, she has worked on a number of his films. She co-directed "Ici et ailleurs" in 1973, co-wrote the screenplay of "Numéro deux" in 1975, and, to give but a few examples of their collaboration, "Prénom Carmen" (1982, screenplay and adaptation), "Nouvelle vague" (1989, artistic direction). Alongside this activity, she directed her first short film, "Le Livre de Marie", in 1984. After "Mon cher sujet" in 1988 and "Lou n'a pas dit non" in 1993, winner of the critics' prize at the 1994 Montreal Film Festival, "Nous sommes tous encore ici" is her third feature.
