BiographyJosé Garcia takes drama class at the Cours Florent, the Fratellini School (circus) and the Actor’s Studio. He works for the French TV channel Canal Plus on Nulle part Ailleurs and soon forms with Antoine de Caunes one of the most famous TV duets. After many minor parts on screen, he is revealed with Would I Lie to You? in 1997 that wins him a nomination to the Best Promising Actor César Award. First José Garcia mainly stars in comedies (Jet Set, Dead Weight or Laughter and Punishment) before performing in darker films. Awarded with the Jean Gabin Prize in 2001, he stars in The Ax by Costa-Gavras in 2005 and his last movie The Black Box by Richard Berry is now showing in France.
