Complete filmography
BiographyBorn in Paris, Elsa Zylberstein took drama class at the famous Cours Florent under the direction of the French actor Francis Huster. In 1988, she makes her debuts in Baptême by René Féret. In 1991, she performed in Van Gogh by Maurice Pialat that wins her the Most Promising Actress Cesar Award.
Since then she has worked with many directors and explored various genres, and the public really discovered her in Mina Tannenbaum (1994). She then appeared in most ambitious movies like Farinelli or Jefferson in Paris.
In 1996 she stars in Un Samedi sur la terre, a kind of experimental movie and then in two familial comedies: Proper Dress Required and XXL alongside Gérard Depardieu. She also performed in intimistic movies such as Man Is a Woman, Toulouse-Lautrec or Time Regained and Love Torn in Dreams, directed by Raoul Ruiz.
Proving her diversity, she also performed in 2002 in Monsieur N, an historical epic about Napoleon and in 2003 in Loser Takes All! a gangster comedy.
