Biography

Born in Paris in 1969, Benoît Cohen studied architecture, followed by a course in Film at the University of New York. He returned to France with his first short film, “There Must Be Some Way Out Of Here” (1990). Soon afterwards, in 1991, from the time he made his second short, “Goal,” he founded his own production company, Shadows Films, with which he produced several short films by other directors. After making another two short films, “Lola Posse” (1992) and “Les Ailes du plaisir” (1994), Cohen wrote and directed “Chameleon,” his first feature film.
