In 1995, Jalil Lespert gets part alongside his father he was accompanying to the casting of Jeux de plage by Laurent Cantet. He then stars in Our Happy Lives by Jacques Maillot and wins prizes for his performances in two short films, one of them directed by Pierre-Erwan Guillaume, he will work again with in 2004 in L’Ennemi naturel.
Jalil Lespert works again with Laurent Cantet in Human Resources in 2000 that wins him the Best Promising Actor César Award. From A Major Inconvenience by Bernard Stora to Life Kills Me by Jean-Pierre Sinapi, or Benoît Jacquot’s Sade, Jalil Lespert links up many parts that confirm his talent.
In 2003, he is in Not On The Lips by Alain Resnais, and the next year he plays a journalist alongside Michel Bouquet in Le Promeneur du Champ de Mars by Robert Guédiguian.
In 2005, he stars alongside Nathalie Baye in Le Petit Lieutenant de Xavier Beauvois.
