Marie-Christine Questerbert studied philosophy and art. After making her short film “Les Filles héréditaires,” Luc Mollet offered her the female lead in “Une aventure de Billie le Kid,” alongside Jean-Pierre Léaud. She then switched to writing for the Cahiers du Cinéma, as well as about photography and experimental cinema for the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. While in Italy she met Zavattini, Tonino Guerra and Suso Cecchi d’Amico. She then wrote the book “Les scénaristes italiens,” published by Hatier. Questerbert made her first feature film, “La Chambre obscure,” in 2000.
