Ziad Doueiri was born in Lebanon where he lived until the outbreak of civil war. A trained cameraman, he completed his studies in the United States. Since then, he has lived in France. He has worked as cameraman on various films, including three directed by Quentin Tarantino: “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and “Jackie Brown.” In 1998, he directed his first feature “West Beirut,” which has been awarded numerous prizes.
