Biography

After studying at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Marseille, Philippe Dajoux decided to enhance his actor's training by heading for USIU in San Diego, where he learned comedy, song and dance. On returning to France, he participated in several workshops on comedy, improvisation and song. He also assisted on video and photographic projects, later shooting several short films: "T'as des contacts dans le cinéma?" (1995), followed by five sketches assembled into a film titled "Les Collègues" (1997) and "Les Fadas" (1998). He has also made several music videos for rock groups such as Au Petit Bonheur and Carol Fredericks (the original soundtrack for Patrice Leconte's film, "Half a Chance"). In 1999 he has directed his first feature, "Les Collègues," plus a war-on-cancer clip. Now focusing on directing, he is currently at work on two projects and is hoping to film his first screenplay, "Gueules d'amour."
