Biography

Trained at the National School of Cinema (IDHEC/Fémis) in the 80’, Philippe Le Guay co-writes with Nicole Garcia her first short film 15 août in 1986 before writing and directing his first feature Les Deux Fragonards in 1989.
Occasional actor, Philippe Le Guay then works for television. In 1995 he directs his second feature, The Juliette Year, a comedy starring Fabrice Luchini and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.
After Nightshift, a drama based on a true story about moral harassment in the professional world, Philippe Le Guay comes back to more light chronicles with The Cost of Living where he once more directs Fabrice Luchini and co-starring Vincent Lindon and Claude Rich.
