Unifrance policy is decided by governing bodies composed of industry professionals: the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and various Committees. Regulatory authorities and the Board of Directors Unifrance operates under the direct supervision of the Centre National de la Cinématographie (CNC), France’s state-run authority responsible for funding policies for French cinema, itself administered by the Ministry of Culture. As an association, Unifrance operates on the basis of an annual budget presented by the Board of Directors to the CNC, which allocates funding. Unifrance's budget is supplemented by a grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated to joint operations between France and its diplomatic links around the world, as well as by revenues generated by the association itself (such as membership fees and contributions from its partners). Presidency and the Executive Committee Unifrance’s President Antoine de Clermont-Tonnerre is assisted by an Executive Committee composed of three Vice-Presidents (Marie Masmonteil, producer, Tonie Marshall, director, and François Yon, sales agent), as well as a General Secretary (Olivier Berlemont, producer). Unifrance Committees Every two years the four Councils of Unifrance members elect representatives to sit on the following Committees: - Artistic Committee - Feature Film Committee - Economic Committee - Short Film Committee These Committees review and submit recommendations and proposals regarding all matters concerning the activities and program of the association, either on their own initiative or at the request of the President or Executive Committee. The Presidents of these four Committees meet as often as they deem necessary to address specific subjects or consider initiatives to be undertaken in particular geographic areas.
