Unifrance members are divided among four Councils, of which you may become a member, under certain conditions:

Feature Film Producers’ Council:
All legally registered French feature film production companies (holding a "carte professionnelle" granted by the CNC) and represented by one of their corporate officers (“mandataires sociaux”) or duly appointed employees are eligible as members of this Council.

Directors’, Actors’, Authors’, and Talent Agents’ Council
The following eligibility requirements apply: Directors who have collaborated on the direction of French films holding a “visa d'exploitation” (commercial certificate); Actors and Authors (Screenwriters) whose qualifications and professional contribution to the creation of feature films (which hold a “visa d’exploitation”) are widely recognized; Talent Agents (Individuals or Legal Entities) working in the film sector who hold a “talent agent’s authorization” granted by the French Labor Ministry (which has been valid for at least 5 years).

Film Exporters’ Council:
All legally registered French feature film export companies (sales agents) holding a "carte professionnelle" granted by the CNC and represented by one of their corporate officers (“mandataires sociaux”) or duly appointed employees may be eligible as members of this Council, in compliance with the following conditions:
- The Exporter must have, in the 12 months preceding the membership application, exported at least 2 feature films solely or majority-produced by France which have been granted production approval and a “visa d'exploitation” (commercial certificate), excluding X-rated films.
- The Exporter must have obtained a sales license for these films in 6 of the following 12 major territories (Benelux countries, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Quebec, Russia [former USSR], Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States of America), excluding sales licenses in co-production territories.
- The membership request must be pre-validated by the Association’s Economic Committee in office.

Short Film Producers’ and Distributors’ Council
Producers of short films may be eligible to be members of this Council if they have produced at least three films which have been granted a “visa d’exploitation” (commercial certificate) by the Centre National de la Cinématographie in the three calendar years preceding elections.
Distributors of short films who have sold at least six French films in the 18 months preceding elections may be eligible as members of this Council.
Membership fees:
- €1196.00 for Feature Film Producers and Exporters (Sales Agents),
- €263.12 for Short Film Producers and Distributors, and Talent Agents (legal entities).
- €50.00 for Actors, Authors, Directors, and Talent Agents (Individuals).
